Our NEW start time is 10:00am

This group is run on a Tuesday morning in school term times at 10:00am.
It is aimed for parents and toddlers (0 to 4 years).

There is no charge for coming to Copse Road Toddler Group, we have a budget from the church to run the group and all the volunteer helpers are members of Copse Road Chapel. In response to requests from you we have put a donation dish on the coffee hatch, and any donations will go towards buying new toys and equipment for the group.

New Times!
By popular request Toddlers now starts at 10am and will finish by 11.30am. We hope that this helps those of you who need to collect other children from pre-school, or give children their lunch, or any other reason. Generally the new “timetable” will look like this;
10am Arrive and play
10.30 Drinks served
10.50 Craft activity
11.20 Carpet time

Tuesday Mornings

Each week has a similar, but not identical format. The toys and games are available from 10am – 11.20am and there is a great range from sit-and-ride vehicles to baby gyms, and wooden railways to rattles. Generally the younger baby toys are split between the two carpet areas, and we do try to allocate the carpets as “no car zones” so that babies can sit and crawl without danger of being run over! We also have a book box, a home corner, and a variety of puzzles and activities on the tables in the centre of the room. At approximately 10.30am we provide a drink and a biscuit at the tables for the children, and drinks for the adults are served at the hatch. An organised craft activity takes place by 10.50am which can be anything from sticking to painting – or even cooking. At 11.20am we all gather on one of the carpets for a time of stories, singing and rhymes. Any birthdays and notices about the group will also be given at this point

Craft
Over the years we know that you have appreciated the craft activities that we provide for you to do with your children. We hope that you continue to enjoy them. This year we thought that we would brighten up our notice board (in the lower room where the buggies are parked) with a themed craft activity. So IN ADDITION to the regular craft activity we hope to have a table set up for any of the toddlers who want to come and help with our display. This term our theme is “God made…colours” and we hope to produce a colourful rainbow. This themed activity is aimed at the older toddlers, although obviously anyone can join in if they are able.

A big thank you to everyone who helps us with the craft each week. Please remember that although we endeavour to run activities that the children are able to do, they still need supervision from parents/carers. We cannot be responsible for children doing the craft activities by themselves. If you have any suggestions for toys or craft activities please let one of the helpers know.

Good News Club and S-Club-1

We will miss all our friends who start school this September, but if you have enjoyed the songs and the crafts at Toddlers, you would probably enjoy Good News Club on a Friday or S-Club-1 on a Sunday morning. Good News Club is a fun club for 4-11 year olds with games, quizzes, stories, prizes and sweets on Fridays in term time from 6.15-7.15pm. S-Club-1 runs at the same time as the morning church service on Sundays and again has songs, Bible stories, quizzes and more. A mini-bus service runs around parts of Clevedon if you can’t get your child to the Chapel at these times. For more details see the  SClub1 or GoodNewsClub web pages, or ring Hilary (878490).

Copse Road Toddlers is run by volunteers from the church. We are Hilary (878490), Sue, Emma (with Eleanor), Demelza (with Hannah and Caleb), Hannah (with William), Jude (with Katie and Joel) and Naomi. Please feel free to talk to any of us about the toddler group, or if you want to find out more about the church activities.
