Ian is the pastor of Copse Road Chapel and took up this ministry on the 6th September 2003. Hilary was brought up in Wales and met Ian when she was a student nurse in Bristol. Ian and Hilary have 6 children and 6 grandchildren. Hilary seeks through God’s enabling to support Ian in his role as pastor in whatever way she can. Hilary regularly helps at toddlers on a Tuesday morning. Hilary also works part time as a nurse at Portishead medical centre.
Mike and Val have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Mike is now retired from secular employment, but is kept busy as an elder of the church. Val works as an administrator of a local charity for MS sufferers. Mike and Val drive the mini bus on Sundays to collect the children for S Club1 and host one of the home bible study groups. They are both keenly interested in the work with the church at Bicske, Hungary.
During the week Dave works as a field technician with Medequip and Jane works as a freelance typesetter. Dave’s church responsibility is the PA system and is on the fabric committee. Jane is the church administrator. Together they help run the Good News Club and the Friday fellowship group.
Alan and Sue were married at Copse in 1970 and have been here ever since. They have 4 daughters and 9 grandchildren. Alan runs his own business, repairing and selling domestic appliances and Sue works for the NHS as a technician in children’s audiology. They are both involved in various aspects of the work of the church. Alan is on the fabric committee and Sue helps to run the parent and toddler group.
Dave and Pauline have 2 children and 2 grandchildren and have lived in the North Somerset area for over 32 years. Dave has been a car body repairer since leaving school. He is a member of the Fabric Committee. Pauline is a full time housewife and is 'childminder' for the youngest grandson, Solomon. She is involved with Creche and helps occasionally with Parents and Toddlers when needed.
Alex is one of our musicians, he co-leads one of the home bible study groups and is a leader of the base youth group.
